Easy to maintain Original Chapel floors are treated with a hard wax oil that's fortified with silicic acid and is resistant to lactic acid. Silicic acid is an oxide made from glass which forms a layer of glaze on the oil in the wood, making the floor more resistant to wear and tear. This protective layer means original Chapel floors are suitable for use anywhere and are particularly low maintenance. The floor will reach its final colour (i.e. smoked floors) after ca. 3-6 months. The floor should not be treated with water and cleaning agents for the first 30-45 days. Maintain optimum conditions in the area where the floor is laid to avoid any possible warping. |
