Visible damage Visible damage can be removed using the abrasive side of a washing-up sponge dipped in Chapel repair hard wax oil with silicic acid . Apply this lengthways to the damaged plank. Remove excess oil with the sponge. It will take approx. 10 days for the treated area to achieve the same shine and appearance as the rest of the floor.
