The foundation
Houtindustrie Schijndel was established in 1986. Its base was small-scale trade in round timber. At the end of the sixties, it focussed more and more on wood processing for consumers. The recession of the early eighties called for a different strategic approach. Houtindustrie Schijndel became a fact.

Innovative investments
Combining production and trading activities turned out to be successful. It allowed the company to invest in wood processing machines, drying rooms, spray paint installations and a unique tool grinding shop.

A competitive edge
To stay ahead of the new competition, Houtindustrie Schijndel continued to invest in new means of production. The result was that the company managed to specialize in the most diversified type of profile processing and gained a large lead on the new competition.
