All wooden floors are treated by hand. Not a single board is the same due to intentional damage. In addition, we have control of everything and we select the boards by hand. That way we always guarantee top quality of our wooden boards.
Manual processing
Origineel Chapel Parket wooden boards have a special aged or not aged radiance. The result is that a new floor is anything but bleak. The distressing process and a patented production technique cause intentional damage to the wood. That makes each board unique. Afterwards, the tongues and grooves in the plank are scraped by hand, making the planks fit smoothly into each other.
Natural colouring process
The beautiful colour of our wooden boards is achieved by using a natural colouring proces, manipulating tannic acid by smoking or by colour impregnation. After 3-6 months the tint is 30% lighter in smoked or lyed floors.
Applying protection
A hand-wash oil provides the finishing touch. The oil penetrates deep into the wood and protects it against external conditions. The result is that your floor also gets additional shine. The top layer makes the wooden boards resistant to normal household use, moisture and even lactic acid. Thanks to this treatment, Origineel Chapel Parket floors can be applied anywhere and are extremely maintenance-friendly.
